Jordan Commercial Bank Launches SMS Banking Service

Jordan Commercial Bank (JCB) has launched Zain mobile prepaid-line, a re-charge service via short message service (SMS) to its customers.
JCB offers pre-paid cards values of 3, 5, 9, 12, 22 and 32 Jordanian Dinars. As part of electronic banking suite of services, subscribed customers can send an SMS requesting the desired pre-paid card value.
The bank also plans to expand the service to include other mobile operators in Jordan in the future.
Jawad Hadid, CEO/GM of Jordan Commercial Bank, said: "Launching this service is a shift in the field of SMS Banking services offered by Jordan Commercial Bank to easily enable our customers to recharge their credit without the hustle of going out and buying a pre-paid card.
"We are now in the age of speed, that requires the bank to provide cutting-edge technology based services in an easy way to fulfill our customers' needs, and Jordan Commercial Bank will remain a pioneer in delivering what is new in banking, financial, and technology based services."
